Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 6, 2026. This policy describes how Bridge Trainer handles local progress, optional tutoring telemetry, support requests, and AI narrator requests.

Summary

Bridge Trainer launch v1 is guest-first. You can practice without creating an account. Most training data, including lesson completion, deal progress, scores, narrator mode, and telemetry consent choices, is stored in your browser. If you enable AI narration or contact support, limited information may be sent to our server so we can provide those features.

Information We Handle

  • Local training progress: completed lessons, deal attempts, scores, current practice state, and saved preferences.
  • Consent settings: whether you accepted or declined optional local AI interaction quality logs.
  • AI narrator request data: deal state, move context, player role, selected narrator mode, and tutoring prompt context needed to generate feedback.
  • Technical data: basic request metadata such as IP address, user agent, timing, errors, rate-limit counters, and service health metrics.
  • Support messages: any contact details, screenshots, browser details, or issue descriptions you choose to send when asking for help.

How We Use Information

  • Provide bridge lessons, deal play, hint behavior, scoring, and progress display.
  • Generate optional AI tutoring feedback when narrator features are enabled.
  • Improve lesson quality and diagnose defects when optional telemetry is accepted.
  • Protect the service from abuse, excessive automated requests, and budget overruns.
  • Respond to support, privacy, security, or product feedback requests.

Local Browser Storage

Launch v1 stores guest progress and preferences in local browser storage. Clearing site data or using another browser may remove saved scores, lesson completion, narrator mode, and consent choices. Bridge Trainer does not currently provide cloud account sync for guest progress.

AI Narrator

When narrator features are on, Bridge Trainer may send the current deal, move, table state, and teaching context to the Bridge API. The API may call an AI model provider to produce tutoring feedback. Browser clients do not receive server secrets or model API keys. You can turn narrator mode off from the game table.

Telemetry Consent

The consent banner asks whether Bridge Trainer may save optional local AI interaction quality logs in your browser. You can decline and still use the trainer. If you decline or have not chosen yet, the app does not write those optional local telemetry logs. You can reset the choice by clearing site data in your browser.

Sharing And Service Providers

We do not sell guest progress. We may share limited data with infrastructure providers, AI model providers, monitoring tools, or support systems when needed to operate Bridge Trainer, provide narrator feedback, investigate issues, or comply with law.

Retention

Browser-stored progress remains until you clear it or the app replaces it through normal use. Server request logs, metrics, support records, and AI budget counters should be retained only as long as needed for operations, security, support, compliance, and product quality.

Your Choices

  • Use Bridge Trainer without an account in launch v1.
  • Turn narrator mode off in the trainer.
  • Decline optional local AI interaction quality logs.
  • Clear browser site data to remove local progress and consent settings.
  • Contact support for privacy, correction, deletion, or access requests.

Children

Bridge Trainer is not intended for children under 13. Do not use Bridge Trainer if you are under 13, and do not send children's personal information through support or narrator features.

Security

Bridge Trainer uses server-side secrets for AI calls, rate limits public API surfaces, validates API requests, and keeps guest progress local where possible. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so please avoid sending sensitive information in support requests or gameplay prompts.

Contact

For privacy requests, use the support channel listed on the Contact page. A final legal entity name, support inbox, and privacy contact may be added to this page as launch operations are finalized.
